OostNL, InnovationQuarter, Rotterdam Partners, The Netherlands Enterprise Agency, The Consulate-General Vancouver, The Netherlands Embassy in Washington are organising a mission from 20 – 24 January 2025 to visit the Pacific Agtech show and are organising various activities such as networking events, project visits & informative sessions. The goal of this mission is to gain a better understanding of the chances and collaboration opportunities in that area.
Why British Columbia?
British Columbia has growth potential, not only for established names, but also for Dutch start-ups and scale-ups. Due to the close ties with the Netherlands through Dutch immigration and the good reputation of Ag-Tech from the Netherlands, it is an attractive environment for Dutch companies. The sector in British Columbia also faces a number of the same problems as the sector in the Netherlands, with employee shortages and increasing pressure for further sustainability of the food system. This leads to a natural demand for sustainable solutions in the field of automation, robotization and AI, which can sometimes already be found in the Netherlands but have yet to find their way to Western Canada.
For whom is this mission?
Participation in this mission is exclusively open to Dutch companies that are active in the field of; greenhouse horticulture with solutions for example in the field of automation, robotization and AI in greenhouses. In addition, the mission is also expressly open to start-ups, young entrepreneurs and scale-ups.
This mission is part of a market research that is being conducted in Q3 & Q4 of 2024. This market research will be published and shared during the mission in BC. Interested in joining this mission and staying up-to-date? More information and pre-register.
