The Top Sector for Horticulture & Starting Materials covers all plant-based chains in the horticultural complex and, with regard to starting materials, the entire plant-based horticultural and agricultural complex. Thus, the top sector represents both the starting materials and production (greenhouse and open field) sectors, as well as companies engaged in processing, supply, trade and distribution. It is a broad sector with sub-sectors ranging from vegetables, fruits and trees to flowers and bulbs. The starting materials sector focuses on starting materials such as seed potatoes, planting materials and seeds.
