SAMENVATTING
Mexico is worldwide the biggest exporter of tomatoes in volume. The majority of the products are exported to the USA and Canada and each day these markets demands higher standards for food safety and security. To fulfil these requirements, the greenhouse crops must be grown in a better controlled environment which in turn demands a higher technology level in the greenhouse. Nowadays many Mexico greenhouses are equipped with ‘Dutch’ technologies but unfortunately local communities don’t know how to optimally benefit of all related advantages due to a lack of knowledge and experience.

The aim of this project is to make a business model of a Technology Transfer and Training Centre (TTTC) for greenhouse horticulture in Mexico, open to all stakeholders in particular greenhouse managers, food quality and safety managers, (junior) growers, greenhouse personnel, knowledge institutes and greenhouse technology and equipment suppliers.
