SAMENVATTING
This project aims to identify additional tomato S-genes for necrotrophic pathogens, B. cinerea and A. solani. This will be done by screening our available tomato EMS population to identify additional mutants with resistance to the two pathogens and by studying the function of candidate tomato S-genes using CRISPR techniques. EMS and CRISPR mutants will be characterized for specificity of resistance and their potential use in breeding programs. Moreover, the mode(s) of action of the (earlier identified) S-genes will be elucidated.
